On November 29th, director of Guangzhou Provincial Academy of Environmental Science’s environmental science research center Yongbo Zhang, deputy director of Huizhou Environmental Protection Bureau Yuanhua Huang, chief of Dayawan environmental protection bureau Wenyan Ye and other 4 people came to Shanghai Academy of environmental sciences for a visit. Vice president of Shanghai Academy of environmental sciences Yun Li and director of environmental engineering technology center Xinliang Zhang welcomed them warmly. On the meeting, director of Guangzhou Provincial Academy of Environmental Science Zhang pointed out that the main purpose of their visit was to understand the path of Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences on VOC control, especially on leak detection and repair (LDAR) of petrochemical industry in recent years. He said that Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences had always walked in the national front in the field of VOC control, and in particular, they had set a good example of LDAR pilot project for the VOC control of other provinces and cities.
Sage’s technical director Joseph Wilwerding and CEO Feng Liu introduced some work done by Sage in VOC emission data management platform to the Guangdong province leaders respectively. age’s technical director Joseph Wilwerding had made a detailed introduction to the personnel of Guangdong Provincial Academy of Environmental Science, basing on his 20-year work experience in EPA and Sage in the USA. Director of environmental engineering technology center Zhang pointed out that we should absorb American experience, combine with China’s actual situation, and establish our own VOC emission regulations. And director of Guangzhou Provincial Academy of Environmental Science Zhang indicated that Guangdong Province’s VOC pollution control had just started, and Shanghai VOC management policies and measures and pollution control results would provide instructive suggestions for the VOC regulation and LDAR pilot work in Guangdong Provincial Environmental Protection Department’s industrial park.
